3 Months (Fundamentals & Introduction):

• Basic music theory (notes, rhythm, scales, basic chords).

• Ear training basics (identifying intervals, rhythms).

• Introduction to chosen instrument (e.g., keyboard, guitar, basic percussion) OR vocal technique basics (posture, breathing).

• Reading basic music notation or chord charts.

• Playing simple melodies or accompanying simple songs.

(Developing Proficiency & Ensemble Basics):

• Increased technical proficiency on instrument/voice.

• More advanced theory (chord progressions, harmony basics).

• Playing more complex songs/pieces.

• Introduction to improvisation basics (within scales/chords).

• Playing/singing with others (ensemble skills, listening, timing).

• Basic instrument maintenance/care.

• Practical: Perform several songs individually and/or in a small group.
