• Plumbing safety (water, tools, confined spaces).

• Identifying common plumbing tools & their uses.

• Identifying common pipes & fittings (PVC, CPVC, copper, PEX basics).

• Measuring & cutting pipes accurately.

• Joining techniques:

  • Solvent welding PVC/CPVC.

  • Basic copper soldering/sweating.

  • Using compression/push-to-connect fittings.

• Understanding basic water supply & drainage concepts.

(Fixture Installation & Basic Systems):

• Installing basic fixtures (taps/faucets, sinks, toilets).

• Understanding traps, vents, and drains.

• Basic drain cleaning techniques (plunger, simple auger).

• Repairing simple leaks (taps, pipes).

• Introduction to residential water supply layout.

• Introduction to residential drainage, waste, and vent (DWV) systems.

• Reading basic plumbing diagrams/layouts.

• Practical: Install and troubleshoot basic fixtures and pipe assemblies.

(Residential Systems & Troubleshooting):

• Installing more complex fixtures (showers, bathtubs, water heaters basics).

• Advanced troubleshooting of leaks, clogs, and pressure issues.

• Understanding valves (shut-off, pressure reducing).

• Working with different pipe materials (e.g., PEX installation).

• Introduction to water heater installation & basic maintenance.

• Understanding basic plumbing codes & regulations.

• Estimating materials for simple jobs.

• Project: Plan and install a basic bathroom or kitchen plumbing system mock-up.
